Robot deployment at Melbourne super-site speeds up CEVA Logistics’ Australian operation by 400%

CEVA Logistics, a global supply‑chain provider and CMA CGM subsidiary, faced rapidly growing e‑commerce demand at its large Australian super‑site—fulfilling orders for a major online shoe retailer required 12–15 pickers per order and increasing staff as volumes rose. To lift speed and productivity, CEVA explored Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) and partnered with Körber AG to test an AMR‑based picking solution (based on Geek+ technology).

Körber AG integrated its AMR solution into CEVA’s WMS, shipped and commissioned eight robots across a 400 sqm picking zone, trained staff and met a four‑month sign‑off–to–go‑live timeline. The Körber AG deployment moved from pilot to fully integrated operation, delivering a 400% increase in picking rates, rapid implementation, and a flexible, scalable solution that satisfied the e‑commerce customer and supports wider roll‑out.
