A Körber AG Case Study
RNM Group, a top-ten chemicals operator in the Iberian Peninsula, faced growing storage, management and distribution challenges across production, road/rail/maritime logistics and filling lines. To support high input/output peaks and future growth, RNM needed an expandable, automated solution to optimize space and handle inbound and outbound flows across its product lifecycle. Körber AG was engaged to design and deliver the automated storage and material-handling system.
Körber AG implemented a high-density automated warehouse and integrated material‑handling solution—including double-depth racking (122.5 x 31 x 35 m), conveyor systems, shuttle car, four stacker cranes with telescopic forks, and warehouse management/visualization software—delivering 17,920 pallet capacity and 72 pallets/hour per crane (in/out). The system provides reversible, redundant expedition/reception isles, increased collector lines and optimized throughput, enabling simultaneous inbound/outbound operations, improved production capability and easy future expansion.
