PT Smart, a leading seed-to-shelf agribusiness focused on sustainable palm oil production, faced rapid growth that demanded higher storage density within an existing footprint, full integration of an automated warehouse with its SAP host system, and a reduction in reliance on manual labor. To address these challenges, PT Smart engaged Körber AG to deliver automation including ASRS, high-bay racking, and WMS/MFC software interfacing with SAP.

Körber AG implemented automatic equipment, high-bay racking, an ASRS warehouse and WMS/MFC integration, and deployed an independent RGV loop on three levels to transport pallets from production into storage. The solution provided higher storage density, seamless SAP integration and reduced manual handling, enabling more efficient distribution for both local and overseas markets.
