Pet Lovers’ Centre, the largest pet care retail chain in Southeast Asia headquartered in Singapore, faced rising product volumes and limited storage in an odd-shaped warehouse. Manual handling with rider reach trucks was slow and caused product damage, so the retailer engaged Körber AG to introduce automation technology — including automatic equipment, multi-deep high-bay racking and WMS/MFC software — to increase manpower efficiency and warehouse capacity.

Körber AG implemented an integrated solution of automated equipment, customised multi-deep high-bay racking and WMS/MFC software that interfaces with Pet Lovers’ Centre’s host system to centralise inventory data and track movements in real time. The implementation doubled storage capacity compared with conventional racking, optimised use of awkward warehouse space, boosted productivity and visibility across operations, and improved accurate, on-time deliveries to outlets and customers.
