A Körber AG Case Study
Lian Hock Hardware, a Singapore-based supplier to the marine, chemical, engineering and construction industries, faced expanding storage needs and a growing product range that strained its inventory and warehouse operations. To address this, Lian Hock engaged Körber AG to design an eight-floor automated facility incorporating Pallet ASRS, Miniload ASRS, high-bay racking and WMS/MFC software.
Körber AG’s solution combined automated storage and retrieval systems with a warehouse management system to deliver real-time inventory visibility, reduce the need for physical stock takes and inspections, and increase throughput and operational efficiency. The implementation lowered operating costs, provided high redundancy and aisle-selective crane service, improved accuracy for small items, and gave operators a user-guided interface, delivering measurable improvements in inventory control and productivity.
