Jakobs Autoteile - Customer Case Study

Jakobs Autoteile, a leading German auto parts manufacturer and distributor, was struggling with intralogistics as its online business grew—facing a high picking error rate and wide variation in product size and type. To modernize and scale operations, Jakobs Autoteile engaged Körber AG for automation and warehouse management solutions.

Körber AG implemented a suite of automation measures—including steel construction for a miniload, fully automated carton taping, a strapping machine, dimension monitoring, mobile data entry hardware and a customized warehouse management system—which expanded the automated small-parts warehouse by three aisles and increased throughput to 800 containers per hour, providing a solid basis for further growth and reduced manual processing.
