Preview of the Intersport Case Study

Intersport - Customer Case Study

INTERSPORT Deutschland, part of the global Intersport group and Germany’s largest medium-sized sports retailer, faced logistical complexity after combining with INTERSPORT Austria into a six-country association. With B2B logistics still centralized in the Heilbronn warehouse, the company needed a smooth migration during live operations and to integrate three externally operated warehouses. INTERSPORT engaged Körber AG to modernize its systems.

Körber AG replaced the existing warehouse management system and material flow computer and deployed automation solutions to manage the automatic systems and overall warehouse logistics while connecting the three external service-provider sites for a multi-location overview and partial control of picking. The Körber AG implementation optimized processes, raised automation levels, provided a scalable architecture for future expansion and supported about 20,000 picks per day.
