Case Study: Carlsberg achieves greater warehouse efficiency and capacity with Körber AG's K.Sight CLASS

A Körber AG Case Study

International brewer uses warehouse simulation to improve efficiency across global operations

Carlsberg, one of the world’s largest brewers, needed to standardise and improve efficiency across its global warehousing operations while keeping customer service levels high and proving the business case for change. To assess new layouts, packing methods and routing options in bottle yards and warehouses—and to overcome cultural reluctance to change—Carlsberg engaged Körber AG and deployed its K.Sight CLASS warehouse simulation solution.

Körber AG used K.Sight CLASS to build to-scale, visualised models of layouts, packing patterns and activity flows, enabling Carlsberg to road-test ideas like one-way peak aisles and adjusted routing. The simulations delivered measurable improvements: increased capacity during peak periods, reduced travel distances and MHE requirements, optimised headcount, better storage and organisation (notably in Asia), and improved productivity KPIs—while providing standardised “cheat sheets” and compelling visual evidence to drive global adoption.
