How a warehouse management system helped third-party logistics provider, Garden State Cold Storage, strengthen its customer service

Garden State Cold Storage, a 350,000 sq. ft. cold storage and packaging 3PL, faced inefficient, disorderly warehouse processes after rapid growth that hurt customer service and throughput. To centralize control and scale operations, Garden State selected Körber AG’s K.Motion e3PL Warehouse Management System to replace manual, paper-based workflows and support their newly re-racked, very-narrow-aisle turret facility.

Körber AG implemented the K.Motion e3PL WMS in about three months and provided three months of on-site training, introducing barcodes, handheld scanners and a centralized inventory system. The solution delivered measurable gains: one-hour product turnaround on request, shipped orders per day rose from under 40 to 300 (a ~650% increase), faster integration and reduced internal processing times, and improved picking accuracy—enabling better customer service and future growth.
