ContainerWorld, a Canadian logistics firm that dominates 93% of the British Columbia alcoholic beverage market, faced inconsistent labeling, safety concerns with 13 kg+ cases, and the need to boost efficiency and cut operational costs across its four distribution centers. To address these challenges they partnered with Körber AG to deploy a voice-directed work solution that could replace paper/scanning processes, enforce labeling standards with check digits, and improve picker safety and consistency.

Körber AG implemented voice at ContainerWorld’s Richmond DC, training 40 employees, integrating the voice system with the new WMS, applying check digits to all slots, updating pick paths and workflows, and introducing smart batching. The Körber AG solution preserved productivity during SKU proliferation, reduced operational costs, eliminated checking positions thanks to higher accuracy, improved manager-time efficiency, boosted employee satisfaction (e.g., freezer workers could keep gloves on), and helped win new customer confidence.
