BOOXpress - Customer Case Study

BOOXpress, a freight business responsible for distributing books from Libri to retailers across Germany and Austria, faced growing volatility and an outdated, heterogeneous system landscape that limited its ability to plan and control a complex hub-and-spoke transport network. To modernize operations and improve planning, BOOXpress selected Körber AG, deploying Körber’s Transport Management System (TMS) and Körber’s POD to replace fragmented tools and standardize processes.

Körber AG implemented its TMS to automate order-oriented delivery, early order transfer and trip assignment, and to provide end-to-end visibility across the network—managing trips for over 400 trucks dispatched six times a week. The solution delivered automatic multi-level planning, empties and account management, SAP FI/CO integration, and automated billing, reducing booking errors, improving resource forecasts and enabling transport-specific invoicing and network-wide access to trip data, creating a unified foundation for future growth.
