PostNord Sweden, the leading Nordic postal and logistics provider, wanted to automate manual mail sorting, improve efficiency, and enhance employee safety at its Rosersberg sorting center. To meet these needs, Körber AG introduced its VarioPick AI robotic picking solution for bulk mail and bundles.

Körber AG implemented a compact, AI-based robotic system with vision guidance, a pusher, and a container tipper to singulate items, sort conveyable and non-conveyable parcels, and feed them to the right destination. The solution replaced two manual workstations, runs across three daily shifts, and delivers up to 2,000 parcels per hour for bulk-stream items and 600 bundles per hour, while improving productivity, reducing costs, and supporting a smoother work environment.
