A stealth mode startup aimed to create a real-time, realistic human-powered avatar for enterprise use but faced the immense challenge of developing unprecedented technology that required faster-than-real-time rendering. With no clear path forward and intense time pressure, they needed a partner skilled in rapid prototyping and cutting-edge hardware and software integration. Kopius tackled the project by testing hardware and software in an agile process, ultimately selecting Intel RealSense 3D cameras and building a local workstation appliance to avoid cloud latency. A key part of the Kopius solution was generating unlimited synthetic face data for machine learning, saving the startup tens of thousands of dollars. The final product was a seamless, enterprise-caliber avatar platform that enabled the startup to ship its V1 commercial product to market much faster.
