HMV, Canada’s premier entertainment retailer, needed a better way to manage employee performance appraisals. Its paper-based review process was time-consuming, required documents to be circulated through multiple levels of management, and took 3–5 days per employee, creating a major workload for a company with thousands of employees. HMV had also previously tried an offshore web portal, but it failed to meet business requirements.
Konverge Digital Solutions analyzed the gaps in HMV’s existing process and built the PAR (Performance Appraisal Reviews) system from scratch. The web-enabled solution gave employees, managers, and executives an easier, more efficient way to complete reviews, and it eliminated paperwork while improving usability and adoption. Konverge Digital Solutions helped HMV streamline a manual process that had been consuming significant time and resources.
