How Konverge’s Software Solution and Motion Mobile solutions helped NHC complete 3,000 Annual Inspections

Nunavut Housing Corporation (NHC), a public agency managing 6,000 housing units across Nunavut, needed to replace a paper-based inspection process that required inspectors to use clipboards, handwritten notes, and multiple manual data transfers. The old workflow created delays, lost forms, data errors, and repeated inspections, wasting time, money, and resources. NHC partnered with Konverge Digital Solutions and Xplore mobile solutions to digitize its field inspections.

Konverge Digital Solutions designed and built a Windows-based tablet application for the Motion F5v Tablet PC, enabling inspectors to collect condition ratings, inventory data, barcodes, notes, and photos directly onsite and synchronize them to a central server for instant reporting. The rugged tablets performed in Nunavut’s harsh climate, and hot-swap batteries kept inspectors productive in the field. With Konverge Digital Solutions’ solution in place, NHC now completes about 3,000 inspections per year and has turned a manual, error-prone process into an efficient electronic workflow.
