Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iași digitises 50,000+ annual entries with Konica Minolta

The “Gheorghe Asachi” Technical University of Iași, a leading higher education institution in Romania, faced a challenge in managing the enormous volume of documents entering and leaving its registry. The complex manual workflows, exacerbated by the pandemic, necessitated a rapid shift towards digitization to debureaucratize processes and lay the foundation for a paperless environment. To address this, the university partnered with Konica Minolta to implement a digital archiving solution.

Konica Minolta implemented a solution based on the ELO professional platform, which centralized the registry from 32 university points into one system. This digitized document workflows, enabled easy search and management, and ensured traceability and secure electronic storage. The results were significant, with the system quickly being used to manage over 50,000 entries annually and nearly 40,000 archived documents. Konica Minolta's solution streamlined operations, providing easy access and increasing efficiency for the university's 27 registrars and 138 users.
