Turning Employees into Ambassadors with the help of Video

KBC, Belgium’s largest bank with roughly 42,000 employees, needed to turn staff into ambassadors after trust in the sector fell post‑2008 by creating a more personal, collaborative dialogue between management and employees. KBC wanted to use video instead of memos and email but faced strict security, heavy regulation and slow networks that made enterprise HD streaming impractical, so it adopted Kollective’s software‑defined video delivery platform to enable secure, high‑quality internal video communication.

Kollective implemented a secure, peer‑to‑peer video distribution network that preserved KBC’s IT policies while cutting distribution times from two days to under two minutes and enabling HD streaming to any device. The result: a 1,500% increase in video production/distribution (video output rose from 552 in 2013 to 6,569 in 2017), projects grew from ~150 in year one to 400+ per year, events now reach up to 8,800 concurrent viewers, and employee engagement, collaboration and internal communications have been dramatically transformed.
