Schneider Electric, the Paris‑headquartered energy management and automation specialist with over 137,000 employees, faced an expensive and inefficient communications model for its annual Leadership Forum—historically flying ~1,000 leaders to a single event and reaching only a fraction of the workforce. To democratize communications and reduce cost, Schneider engaged Kollective and used Kollective SD ECDN along with the Network Readiness Test and MediaCenter to deliver a high‑quality, scalable digital forum.

Kollective implemented a software‑defined ECDN overlay, ran pre‑event Network Readiness Tests to identify and fix network issues, and provided a branded MediaCenter portal for live and on‑demand viewing. The 2015 Forum reached 35,000 live viewers across 55 countries and 465 sites, delivered a 20x reduction in overall cost versus the prior travel model, prevented network problems (including a China firewall issue), and enabled continued expansion of live video across Schneider—Kollective’s solution directly drove these measurable improvements.
