AIMIA, a global leader in loyalty management, collects and analyzes terabytes of point-of-sale (ePOS) data to help retailers and CPG brands understand buying behavior and drive customer loyalty. Faced with slow, sample-based market-basket analysis that took days and limited statistical confidence, AIMIA needed a way to deliver full-volume, speed-of-thought, self-service analytics without heavy IT intervention—something conventional databases could not provide.
AIMIA built the Self Serve web solution powered by the Kognitio Analytical Platform, putting two years of data in-memory and live for business analysts. Deployed in under a week at a major UK supermarket, it cut report times from over five hours to about two minutes (≈60× faster), meets a two-minute SLA, supports up to 300 concurrent reports, and enables granular, predictive and ad-hoc analysis while scaling via appliance and cloud options.
