A Kodak Alaris Case Study
Aintree University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust needed to improve patient care by giving clinicians faster access to patient case notes. Their paper-based system was causing delays in retrieving information for consultations. To address this, they worked with vendor Kodak Alaris, utilizing Kodak Scanners and Kodak Capture Pro Software as part of a new electronic document management system (EDMS).
The solution involved implementing an EDMS from CCube Solutions, with outsourced scanning services provided by Capita TDS using high-performance Kodak Scanners. This system digitized approximately 45 million pages of patient records. Kodak Alaris's technology enabled the Trust to guarantee case note availability at the point of care, improve efficiency, and save $1,138,095 annually in handling and storage costs, while also freeing up physical space for clinical use.
