A Kodak Alaris Case Study
Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust, a major NHS teaching trust, faced a significant challenge when relocating its HR function: the impracticality of moving and storing over 130 filing cabinets of paper records for its 15,000 personnel. This pressing need to relocate drove the decision to finally pursue a digital transformation and achieve a paper-lite status with the help of Kodak Alaris.
Kodak Alaris, through its partner, implemented a solution using Kodak i5850S and i1190WN scanners to digitize 2.5 million document images into an electronic records management system. The results included substantial time and cost savings from eliminating couriers and internal post, along with greatly improved efficiency and productivity. The HR function is now nearly paper-free, and the trust is so confident in the project's strong return on investment that it is rolling the initiative out to nine more directorates.
