A prominent tertiary medical centre and teaching hospital in Thailand sought to streamline its prescription process, which was hindered by slow, paper-based workflows. Their challenge, addressed with the help of Kodak Alaris, involved reducing paperwork and the significant time nurses spent manually collecting and delivering documents to the pharmacy, which delayed patient discharges.

Kodak Alaris implemented a solution using Kodak ScanMate i1150 Scanners equipped with Smart Touch technology. This allowed staff to scan and electronically send documents directly to the pharmacy with a single button press. The results were highly efficient, saving an estimated two to three hours per day, enabling faster medicine dispensing and allowing staff to reallocate their time to patient care.
