Kodak Alaris and Microimaging enhance Marikina LCROs productivity

The Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) of the City of Marikina, a government agency managing vital records, faced a significant challenge processing a high volume of paper-based applications and retrieving archived documents. Their manual, time-intensive system resulted in long wait times for citizens, taking up to 30 minutes to find a file and up to two days if it was misplaced. Kodak Alaris, through its partner Microimaging, was engaged to recommend a digital solution.

Kodak Alaris provided the LCRO with a Kodak S2070 Scanner, a Kodak S2085F Scanner, and Kodak Capture Pro Software to digitize documents upon arrival. This solution enabled real-time information retrieval, slashing the time to serve a citizen from 30 minutes to about one minute. The office realized a more than 75% reduction in workflow processing time, allowing staff to serve more clients, while also lowering maintenance costs through a dedicated after-sales service from Microimaging.
