Kodak Alaris and DSG support Justice Departments across 63 cities/provinces of Vietnam

The e-Government Development Company in Vietnam faced a significant challenge in digitizing millions of fragile, historic judicial records as part of a national e-government initiative. These documents, dating back to the 1800s, varied in size, language, and condition, requiring a scanner that could handle them delicately while providing superior image quality for accurate data capture. Kodak Alaris, alongside partner DSG, provided a solution using Kodak i3200 and S2050 scanners equipped with Perfect Page technology and an A3 Flatbed Accessory.

The implemented solution from Kodak Alaris enabled the efficient digitization of four million documents in eighteen months. The scanners' exceptional image quality greatly enhanced optical character recognition, even for difficult documents, and DSG’s SOHO SCAN software ensured the data was searchable. This transformed the department's operations, allowing for real-time document retrieval and reducing a process that previously took days to complete down to minutes, significantly improving administrative efficiency.
