The hospital faced a cumbersome, paper-based medical records system that was costly to store and resulted in lengthy retrieval times of up to a day for patient files, hindering efficient care.

The solution involved deploying 41 Kodak Alaris scanners and capture software to fully automate the digitization of medical records. This implementation by Kodak Alaris enabled physicians to access patient information in real-time, reduced file retrieval from hours to seconds, and is saving costs on physical storage as the hospital digitizes approximately 250 case files per day.
