Biedronka, a major supermarket chain and the largest private employer in Poland, faced a significant challenge in managing the high volume of recurring internal inquiries to its HR hotline. The company needed to improve the efficiency and speed of handling these enquiries to free up staff for more complex tasks. To address this, they partnered with vendor KODA to implement an internal communication solution.
KODA developed and implemented an AI-powered chatbot for Biedronka's employee portal. The solution was rolled out in phases, starting with supporting website registration before expanding to handle a wide array of HR topics and personalized data queries through API integrations. The results were substantial: the KODA chatbot conducted 111,000 conversations with over 32,000 employees, successfully recognizing and responding to 72% of user messages. This automation drastically reduced the load on the HR hotline, submitted over 4,200 certificate requests, and won a national award for modern technology in HR.
