Case Study: a city ambulance service achieves secure mobile device management with Kocho and Microsoft Intune

A Kocho Case Study

Preview of the Ambulance Service Providing Company Case Study

When communication is a matter of life or death A mobile device solution for a city ambulance service

Kocho worked with an ambulance service providing company that delivers free 24/7 emergency healthcare across a wide area. The organization had a growing number of mobile devices in use by staff, but had lost visibility of who was using what, while also needing to keep routine business communications secure. Its existing Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager setup was outdated, and the team wanted a platform that could support current devices and future standardization.

Kocho implemented a unified hybrid device management solution using Microsoft Intune and System Center Configuration Manager 2012 R2. It created a new SCCM server, integrated it with Intune, and set up security policies plus email and Wi-Fi profiles for Windows phones, with federation through Active Directory Federation Services. The result was a single console for on-premises and mobile devices, stronger control over encryption, passwords, and apps, automatic user access to email and Wi-Fi, and better accountability and visibility; the Intune deployment took about seven days.
