A Kocho Case Study
Kocho worked with the University of the West of England to move its in-house student email service to Microsoft’s cloud-based Live@edu platform. The university needed a more secure login process and easier user administration, while also addressing student frustration with an email system that offered only 20MB of storage and limited functionality.
Kocho implemented an identity management solution using Microsoft Forefront Identity Manager, Active Directory, and Rights Management Services to automate account creation, deletion, and access control while enabling single sign-on across student services. The result was improved security, a smoother integrated user experience, and better cost control, with UWE gaining 5GB of storage per account and avoiding payment for more users than needed.
