Macfarlanes refreshes 650 mobile devices during lockdown with Kocho

Macfarlanes, a London-based law firm, faced the challenge of upgrading its disparate mobile device fleet of over 650 older iPhones to ensure iOS compatibility and maintain its strict information security regime. This needed to be accomplished during a national lockdown with all staff working remotely. The firm enlisted vendor Kocho and its Virtual Mobile Manager (VMM) managed service to plan and execute the refresh.

Kocho implemented a full remote deployment plan, which included sourcing iPhone XRs, preparing the devices, and managing all logistics and user communications. Devices were dispatched in managed batches directly to employees' homes. The solution resulted in a smooth and successful rollout with minimal issues, ensuring all phones were running the latest, secure iOS. This achieved compliance with Cyber Essentials and provided the firm with a consistent, modern mobile platform.
