Insurance company builds secure and compliant customer login experiences with Azure AD B2C

Kocho worked with the Local Health Insurance Association, a long-established German insurer that had grown over more than 100 years but still lacked an online customer service offering. The organisation wanted to let existing and new customers securely register, log in, and manage documents online while meeting strict German information protection laws and GDPR.

Kocho implemented custom sign-up and authentication experiences using Microsoft Azure AD B2C, including advanced user flows for sign-up/activation, email validation, known-facts verification, digital security key checks, MFA, password reset, and sign-in. The result was a secure, scalable, and compliant customer login experience with an improved user journey, a branded customer portal, cost and time savings versus outsourcing CIAM, and a solution that later extended from web to mobile app.
