Kocho worked with a financial services organisation managing more than $4.5 trillion in assets, with thousands of employees across multiple regions. Faced with increasingly strict regulation, remote working risks, and the need to improve its compliance posture, the customer needed better control over sensitive information, records retention, and data sharing using Microsoft compliance tools including Microsoft Purview Information Protection, Azure Information Protection, Data Loss Prevention, and records management.

Kocho delivered discovery workshops, proof-of-concepts, and a nine-step compliance roadmap, then implemented sensitivity labelling for unstructured data, redesigned records management, migrated non-governed records to SharePoint Online, and began developing DLP policies to replace a third-party tool. The result was a stronger, more scalable compliance framework with improved control over employee records and sensitive data, reduced risk of accidental or malicious data loss, and a clear path to full organisation-wide rollout.
