A Kocho Case Study

Preview of the Large Experienced Technical and Business Services Organisation Case Study

Engineering a new culture of data protection and governance for a world-leading professional services provider

Kocho worked with a large experienced technical and business services organisation and maritime classification society that needed to protect sensitive Office documents and PDFs while improving governance and visibility across its global workforce. As the company moved toward a more secure digital environment, it faced the challenge of rolling out consistent document classification in a way that would support adoption and avoid change fatigue among 7,500 employees in 195 locations.

Kocho implemented Azure Information Protection with a three-phase rollout covering voluntary labelling, mandatory labelling, and protection and control, supported by strong communications, pilots, and the AdoptionSpace user portal. The result was easy classification of more than 50,000 documents per week, just 12 global help desk tickets, improved visibility into where documents were created and shared, and stronger control over sensitive information, making the project one of the client’s most successful IT initiatives.
