GoTo Foods, a leading developer of global fast-casual brands including Cinnabon, Jamba, Auntie Anne’s, McAlister’s Deli, and Schlotzsky’s, wanted to improve mobile ordering and drive stronger customer engagement through its apps during in-store visits. To better understand how customers interacted with its QR codes across locations, GoTo Foods partnered with Kochava and used Kochava SmartLinks and mobile measurement tools.

Kochava implemented SmartLinks-enhanced QR codes and unified attribution across GoTo Foods’ apps and campaigns, allowing the team to track scans, installs, and downstream in-app engagement by placement. The approach led to a 19.5% month-over-month increase in in-app engagement and accounted for more than 40% of attributed mobile app installs, while also revealing that QR codes placed on tables outperformed those at registers.
