Focus Brands, now GoTo Foods, partnered with Kochava to improve mobile ordering and deepen customer engagement across its quick-service restaurant brands. The team wanted to encourage more app usage during in-store visits and better understand how QR code placements influenced mobile behavior.
Kochava implemented mobile measurement and SmartLinks-enhanced QR codes to track scans, installs, and downstream in-app engagement across locations and placements such as signage, tables, registers, and packaged goods. The results showed that the SmartLinks experience correlated with a 19.5% month-over-month increase in in-app engagement and accounted for more than 40% of attributed mobile app installs, while table placements drove stronger engagement than register placements.
