A Kochava Case Study
Uber, the global ride-sharing company, worked with Kochava after its marketing team grew concerned that millions spent on user acquisition campaigns across multiple agencies and ad networks may be exposed to ad fraud and brand-safety issues. Uber suspected that reported performance was “too good to be true” and that ads were appearing on adult and other controversial sites, despite contractual requirements for transparent publisher reporting.
Kochava conducted an in-depth fraud audit using its AI-driven fraud detection and mitigation suite, processing more than 58 billion transaction records and applying over 24 fraud detection methods. The investigation uncovered significant ad fraud and IO violations, helping Uber pursue legal action and recover over $6 million in damages from one lawsuit alone, with Kochava also serving as expert witnesses in the litigation.
