Desktop Online Informática, an internet-service provider based in Sumaré, São Paulo, needed to build the foundation of a cybersecurity program and a culture of security awareness after going public in 2021. The company created a dedicated cybersecurity team and selected KnowBe4—implementing KnowBe4’s Security Awareness Training and Compliance Plus Training—citing Gartner recognition, a large, frequently updated content library, a simple interface, and accessible captioned video training to support employees with hearing impairments.

KnowBe4 delivered a diagnostic and training program using the Security Culture Survey, the Security Awareness Proficiency Assessment, baseline simulated phishing tests, and ongoing simulated phishing campaigns and training (delivered every two weeks and via the Mobile Learner app). As a result, Desktop achieved an 88% average training completion rate, reduced phishing click rates over successive tests, rolled training out to nearly the entire organization, increased reporting via the Phish Alert Button, and secured board and shareholder buy-in—while planning targeted departmental training, expanded licenses, and PhishER Plus automation with KnowBe4.
