Action for Children - Customer Case Study

Action for Children, a UK nonprofit focused on improving children’s lives, needed to strengthen protection of sensitive child data and build a security-first culture after hiring Andrew Vickers as head of IT security. He chose KnowBe4’s security awareness training platform (including PhishER and the Phish Alert Button) to replace the organization’s basic, static training and to integrate with Active Directory and its Microsoft environment.

KnowBe4 was deployed across the charity, delivering training to more than 4,000 employees over three months, adding simulated phishing tests every two weeks, and routing suspicious emails to PhishER for automated analysis. The program cut the Phish-prone Percentage from 10% to 1.3%, improved phishing reporting and response times, sped attack discovery, and freed the security team to focus on higher-value tasks.
