First Bank and Trust adopt real-time teachable moments to combat email threats

First Bank and Trust, a high-growth U.S. bank operating under strict regulatory pressures, was struggling with sophisticated phishing emails bypassing Microsoft 365, static-banner fatigue among staff, misdirected sensitive messages, and limited visibility into email threats. KnowBe4 implemented Defend and Prevent across 450 users, using AI-powered dynamic banners, link‑rewriting and proactive send-time checks to stop threats and reduce data-loss risk. Over 90 days KnowBe4 flagged 502 dangerous emails (85 of which had evaded M365), filtered 202,600 Graymails, and delivered an estimated 187 hours of monthly productivity savings, while giving First Bank and Trust full visibility and significantly reducing manual incident handling.
