Digital collaboration with GreenOrbit

Ecorys, an international research, consultancy and management services company with 700+ staff across nine offices, needed to replace an outdated static intranet that was hard to use, one-way only, and unable to support collaboration or knowledge sharing across its global teams. Communication was fragmented across email and Skype for Business, important updates were getting lost, and the company needed a new intranet quickly to bring information, collaboration and internal communications into one central place. Knosys, through its GreenOrbit intranet platform, was selected to help meet these needs.

Knosys implemented GreenOrbit as an easy-to-use intranet with built-in Enterprise Social Network features such as #Channels and a searchable Staff Directory. This gave Ecorys a central hub for sharing updates, discussing projects and finding internal experts by skills or location, while the drag-and-drop CMS let staff update content themselves. The result was strong user adoption, faster knowledge sharing and more effective communication across offices, helping Ecorys even rescue a project by connecting a UK team with a relevant expert in the Netherlands. Knosys also supported rapid deployment, enabling Ecorys to launch on time and lay the foundation for future integrations via API.
