Thaltegos faced a manual invoice checking process that was time-consuming and prone to human error. More than 300 emails per month arrived from partners with invoice PDFs and Excel or CSV attachments, and the company needed a better way to verify invoice data against its accounting records. KNIME Analytics Platform was used to support this effort.

KNIME implemented an automated invoice-checking workflow in KNIME Analytics Platform that connected to Microsoft SQL Server, processed flat-file invoice attachments, and matched them against database data using reusable partner-specific metanodes. The solution generated clear reports with matching results and other key details for the 18 largest partners, reduced costs by automating report creation in about 1–2 hours, improved invoice-checking quality, and enabled earlier detection of inconsistencies between invoices and the database.
