Using KNIME Analytics Platform, Siemens set out to automate tasks such as competitive analysis, financial report gathering, and extracting insights from multiple web and PDF sources.

KNIME implemented a workflow that crawls competitor websites, downloads financial reports, classifies documents, extracts key values from PDFs, and publishes the results in an interactive Tableau dashboard. This automation saved about 30 hours per quarter for one process, improved independence for business users, and freed teams to focus on higher-value analysis and interpretation.
