A KNIME Case Study
The Government of Hungary needed to modernize and streamline public administration reporting across its large network of county, district, and government offices. With data spread across many disconnected systems and no unified dashboard, generating consolidated reports was manual, slow, and labor-intensive. KNIME was selected to help build an automated reporting and data integration environment using KNIME Server and KNIME Analytics Platform.
KNIME implemented a low-cost data warehouse and automated ETL workflows to collect, transform, and consolidate data from multiple sources daily, then publish web-based and PDF reports through KNIME WebPortal and BIRT integration. The solution delivered 45 KNIME workflows and 80 interactive reports, giving government executives real-time access to information and drill-down capabilities across organizational levels. As a result, reporting processes moved from manual to fully automated, improving timeliness, independence, and decision-making for The Government of Hungary.
