Kärcher, the global manufacturer of cleaning technology, needed a better way to manage inventory across more than 80 locations without harming customer service. Its local teams were using different manual and spreadsheet-based approaches to track overstock, which created inconsistencies, time-consuming analysis, and a risk of stockouts for fast-moving items.
Using KNIME’s no-code/low-code analytics platform, Kärcher centralized overstock measurement and built a data-driven forecasting solution that combines stock levels, open and delivered orders, promotions, master data, and other inputs. The result was a 15% reduction in inventory value while maintaining high customer service levels, with savings worth tens of millions of euros and faster onboarding and collaboration across the supply chain team.
