Day5 Analytics helps a multinational Integrated Facility Management (IFM) provider centralize and modernize finance operations. The customer’s Centralized Accounting Services team was spending significant time each month on repetitive, spreadsheet-based accrual and reporting tasks across multiple accounts, with inconsistent business rules and limited scalability. Day5 Analytics used KNIME to address the challenge.

Using KNIME workflows, Day5 Analytics automated and centralized cost accruals across 20 accounts, applied account-specific business rules, and generated upload-ready templates for the financial ERP system. The result was a reduction in processing time from about 2.5 days to under half a day each month, saving nearly 5 weeks per year, while also improving transparency, documentation, auditability, and scalability. The customer has since delivered more than 50 automation projects with KNIME, supporting over 600 monthly processes and freeing finance staff for higher-value work.
