How a global cyber security team saves hundreds of hours per month with KNIME

GEMMACON helped a global cybersecurity team at a major German automotive manufacturer streamline a monthly KPI reporting process that had previously been handled in Excel. The team struggled with large data volumes, manual steps, errors, and slow development of a prior IBM Cognos-based attempt, while needing a more self-service, scalable analytics approach.

Using KNIME Analytics Platform, KNIME Server, and PowerBI, GEMMACON built six automated workflows and dashboards to transform data from multiple sources, calculate KPIs, and publish results daily. The solution reduced manual KPI updating from 160 hours per month to 10, saved 150+ hours monthly, improved reliability and standardization, and enabled users to drill down into more detailed information on demand.
