With KNIME’s visual analytics platform and data apps, Alexion ingested and transformed data from sources like Orphanet, PubMed, DrugBank, Reactome, and GTEx into master datasets for diseases, drugs, genes, and trials. KNIME also helped provide full data lineage for clinician review, resulting in a dataset that is 80% actionable and, in some cases, reducing diagnosis time from several years to just a few hours.
