Performance Culture is a web-based performance management platform that helps managers and employees improve through continuous coaching, timely feedback and recognition, using an organizational 2x2 scorecard to identify Stars, Misaligned, High‑Potential and Underperforming employees. As a new app they needed a cost‑effective proof‑of‑concept built quickly but lacked internal coding talent, despite strong database knowledge.

They built the database, workflows and graphical reporting in Knack—using JavaScript for custom reports and leveraging User Roles, Workflows, Business Rules, API/CSS customization and embedding—to launch a first‑generation product without hiring developers. The result was a fast, affordable rollout with unlimited user scalability, responsive support, and a platform that met their needs for ease of use and cost efficiency.
