NCSU Libraries’ Makerspace at the James B. Hunt Jr. Library supports 3D printing for students and staff, but tracking jobs on paper forms and clipboards made status updates error-prone, complications hard to record, and customer notifications a manual chore.

By building a custom system in Knack, staff can view jobs by printer and stage, add issue notes, upload files, and use form rules to trigger automatic email notifications. The result is faster, more accurate job tracking, reduced errors, time savings for staff, and a smoother experience for customers without needing to write code.
