Kinetic Events, run by Erik Lillquist, is an events management firm that needed to coordinate staffing, schedules and communications across managers, employees and freelancers in multiple locations. Off-the-shelf event software proved too inflexible, expensive or complex to meet requirements for multi-device access, a portal for different user roles, calendar and job-board features, and secure logins.

Erik built a custom online database with Knack that provides role-based portals, event and staffing calendars, a job board with applications and automated hiring alerts, and secure cloud access from any device. The solution eliminated repetitive data entry and administrative bottlenecks, freed Erik to pursue sales, and helped drive significant growth (3x year-over-year) while enabling ongoing customization and efficiency gains.
