The Municipal Gas Authority of Georgia Embraces KloudGin to Deliver Innovative and Customer-Focused Beyond the Meter Solution

The Gas Authority, the Municipal Gas Authority of Georgia, is the largest non-profit natural gas joint action agency in the U.S., serving 80 member cities and over 246,000 customers. Facing friction in appliance purchasing and installation, the Gas Authority created Natural Gas Connection (NGC) to offer a one-stop, customer-friendly buying experience but needed a cloud-first, mobile-first platform to integrate e‑commerce, inventory, scheduling and third‑party installers — they selected KloudGin to help build this solution.

KloudGin implemented its Field Service Suite and Connected Worker capabilities, tightly integrated with Shopify for the webstore and Sage Intacct for finance, hosting customer and item data, automating inventory checks and on‑demand procurement, and providing a mobile app for contractors to manage work orders. As a result, KloudGin enabled a fully automated online purchasing and scheduling workflow that improves customer experience and retention, minimizes personnel costs for NGC’s small development team, and supports a phased rollout to as many as 80 cities and 246,000 customers over the next 3–4 years.
